Laura Rich

As the assistant managing editor of Portfolio.com, Laura Rich oversees the daily production of the website. Previously she was the editorial director of Inc.com and FastCompany.com.

Prior to that, Rich was a freelance business journalist. She wrote the New York Times column Sunday Interview (created by Condé Nast Portfolio's Jim Impoco when he was at the Times) and the Inside ... Tech column for the New York edition of Metro. She is also the author of the biography The Accidental Zillionaire: Demystifying Paul Allen.

Rich has also been an editor and columnist at the Industry Standard, Working Woman, Adweek, and Inside Media. Her work has appeared in Inc. magazine, Business 2.0, Entertainment Weekly, Family Circle, Cosmopolitan, and on Online Journalism Review.

Rich holds a B.A. from DePauw University.
